Our Wine

Sourced from renowned Stags Leap AVA in legendary Napa Valley, our premium cabernet grapes truly reflect the character of their terroir.

 

These mountain grapes struggle to produce a yield of less than 3 tons per acre. Through this struggle our grapes develop thick skins which in the end produces a very rich and dark wonderful big wine. Our commitment to perfection follows three rules that we refuse to break.

• Rule 1: we only make wine if the grapes are perfect. This means we do not have a release every year.

• Rule 2: we never blend our wine. All of our wine is 100 percent Cabernet.

• Rule 3: the use of only the finest 100 percent new French oak barrels.
  We age our cabernet for at least 3 years and our wine is always unfiltered.

 

Our 100 percent Cabernet is fabulous now and will develop over many years but you might err on the side of youthfulness and drink by 2022. Keeping with previous releases, this wine produces voluptuous approachability. It has a flood of blackberries, cherries, cassis and chocolate. Especially notable is the tannin structure. Firm and soft, dry and sweet, this combines the absolute combination of the opposites. The depth is climactic and the spicy finish lingers on the tongue suggesting the wines' concentration. Truly, a perfect happy ending.
